65 Years Ago—March 2, 1945: In the United States, strikes close ten Chrysler and Briggs plants.

  2. Moooonnneeey! There were gobs of strikes during the war, and in vital war industries. Really shameful. And it made the servicemen furious! Once a group of sailors collected dimes and sent them to striking workers to entice them back to work - and to make a sarcastic point.
